She did all the chores. When they were about to throw her out, Jean Valjean saved her and payed fifteen francs. After that, Jean Valjean spoiled her. She had nice dresses and dolls. But when Cossette got older and met Marius, Jean Valjean got jealous and wanted Cossette to himself. But when Marius got badly wounded in the French Revolution, Jean Valjean saved him.
